Not much crafting going on here!!
Apart from that, I've been working quite hard lately, loads of experiments to do. I've also parcelled up 25 parcels for my team advent swap which I think is looking pretty good although I can't really upload a pic!!
Hoping to get some stuff done this weekend!

No rest for the wicked!

Okay, it's been a wee while again since I updated the blog (but not THAT long-ANgela!!). I've been busy at work and with family stuff although I have managed a few layouts, mainly for my Cathy Z class, although I have done a couple of things for Angela, one of which I've shown here. This is a sweetie tube covered in Basic Grey offbeat and decorated using the November ribbon kit in all it's lushness! It's really a bit too light for a too big flower but if you weight it down you can use it for fake flowers (it's not waterproof for real ones!!).
The layout I've posted was for the Cathy class and may be one of my favourites ever, and it doesn't have any patterned paper on it!! Mind you the photos are so colourful it doesn't really need any!

Back from Iceland

Back from my short break to Iceland. It was absolutely stunning scenery wise although the weather was a bit variable! This was taken on the day I arrived when it was lovely and sunny although bitterly cold!! Pity the weather didn't stay like this for the whole trip but at least a couple of days were dry!

Shopping, scrapping, packing and ribbon!!
Have been very busy again!! In fact I shouldn't really be writing on this tonight as I'm trying to get everything together for my trip to Iceland and I leave tomorrow morning!! I'm looking forward to it!
I've had a busy few days crafty wise. Angela sent me some fab "twiddleybitz" chipboard stuff to play with and I managed to do a couple of cards and a layout for her. She also sent me the new ribbon kit yesterday and as you can see it goes very well with Cleo and is absolutely gorgeous. It has the most fantastic tree stamp in it which I'll have to find a use for!!
It was the craft fair at the SECC on Saturday and the weather was so pooey that I just had to go!! Plus I wanted to buy tickets for STrictly Come Dancing Live in February and if I bought them in person with cash at the SECC it saved me £20. I actually bought more than I had planned to but not excessively so, my extra purchase was a Heidi Grace Jolly and Bright kit which was only a £10 and had loads of paper and embellies in it!
Saturday was an expensive day because I bought a new jacket and trousers for my trip as well, mind you I've only got about 4 pairs of trousers just now so didn't feel to bad about it!!
Right must get off and finish sorting things out!!

Another week gone by!!
.jpg)
Once again, where does the time go? I don't know what I end up doing half of the time!! In fact I'm being particularly ditsy again at the moment. I spent about half an hour tonight looking for my camera, not my digi SLR but my smaller digi cam that I find good for taking on a night out. Not that I'm going on a night out in the next few days, more that I was looking for it at the weekend before I went out on Saturday night!! The night out was great but I was suffering for it on Sunday. It was really great to catch up with some of my friends, it would have been even nicer if I had pictures of it!! My camera did finally reveal itself to me under the chair in my bedroom!!
Other than this I have been creating a few LOs, am trying to catch up a bit with the Cathy Z class I am doing. So far am still on week 2 and we're on week 4! This weekend I have few plans though so am hoping to get more stuff done. The class I am really enjoying though, Cathy is a great teacher and I love the slideshows she makes for us. It's also good for me to be doing a different style of scrapbooking. I'm never going to be a totally clean and simple girl but I'm enjoying the challenge of it and it's great scrapping multi-photo layouts. I particularly like the layout I've posted here from the class. One of the reasons I like it though is because I think I've managed to bring a bit of my own style to it (ie ribbon and patterned paper!!!) The observant among you will notice that the pics in this layout bear an unholy likeness to the ones in a layout just down the page! THis is because I FELT the NEED to use them again as they are just so cute!!

Where does the time go?!!!
.jpg)
Can't believe it's nearly a week since I posted a blog entry, mind you i've not been doing too much crafting this past week although I did finish a couple of pages for my African sunsets project (I haven't scanned them yet though!!). I think I've been doing this for ever!! I came up with the idea after doing a SHimelle class that I would do a mini album (not actual page size though!!) of my favourite sunset pics as I had quite a few spectacular ones!! I have 6x4 prints, 1 per 8.5x11 page so they come together really quickly. THe daft thing is that I've kept the pages so I could do them at a crop as there is a kit to use for everything but I never seem to want to do them at a crop, I'm much more likely to play with new papers!! Anyway, there's about 6 more pages to do which hopefully I will finish sometime soon!!
However, although I didn't manage much making stuff this weekend I fell in love with Yo LA Tengo all over again! I was flicking through ITunes store after installing the new version of ITunes with Genius on my computer and found they had a couple of Yo La TEngo CDs I didn't have already. They aren't the easiest things in the world to get hold of and some of the ones I have already have been Amazon imports. Anyway I did the preview listen to one of the tracks on one of the albums ( Painful) and it nearly had me in tears it was just so amazing!! I had to buy it and listen to Yo La Tengo and it was just great. I SOOOO love that band, I wish they would come to the UK again as they were amazing when I saw them live as well.
Today's layout was another one done for the Design Your Life class and includes the amazing AC puffy thickers!!

Dear Mum

This is a layout I've just finished for my Design Your Life class (all up to date now, maybe I will keep up with this!). It's quite personal the journalling on it, really about how I miss my mum who was my best friend.
I've used new BG, sassafrass lass and some maya road blossoms, prima flower, bo bunny brads and ribbon from an Angel Crafts ribbon kit! (my goodness, even my simple layouts seem to use quite a lot of different products!!)

My new favourite size of layout!!
I'm soooo loving doing these 12x6 layouts, this time portrait which I have to admit I wasn't sure was going to work but I'm really pleased with the results!! I've used lots of yummy new sassafrass lass papers, some ribbon and trim from my stash, prima flowers and fabby puff MM alphabet. Actually puffy alphabets may be my new favourite embellies as I've got the AC one as well and I LOVE IT lots!!Off to do some stuff for the BPS class I am doing " Design your Life". I've done the pre-class work we were given and also the first layout and I really enjoying it!!
These weren't even the only layouts I managed yesterday, I also did another one, don't know where all this mojo is coming from but hope it carries on!!

Rollover
.jpg)
Found time last night to do this layout of my little ball of fluff!!
The layout is really straight in real life!! I love these prima papers, so bright and funky and really quite me!! Am feeling quite mojoed (my new word!) up just now and ready to do some more crafty stuff. Tonight the first thing I have to do though is make an envelope for a birthday card I made for one of my work colleagues. I'm getting quite adept at making a fairly decent decorative envelope from a piece of 12x12 for a 6x6 card!
Off to make a mess of the craft space!!

Travel book
This was a real labout of love, it took ages to do and although I love the results I'm not sure I would do it again!! I've used a Bo Bunny Travel word book, paper from SR and Love Elsie and a whole heap of Love Elsie embellies and ribbons etc from my stash.
I really wanted it to show how much I love travel and seeing new places!

Mad!!
This is one of my fav layouts ever! I really had so much fun doing the photo shoot with my friend Pam, we were in absolute hysterics. Funny thing is the shoot was2 years ago and seems like yesterday!!
I set it up to do an I AM page for my book of me but this picture needs more scrapping!!
Today has been spent making cards for a couple of the boys at works birthdays. One of them was easier than the other and I haven't finished the difficult one yet!!

Reflections!
.jpg)
On how much I'm loving scrapping in 12x6 format just now!!
It's a fab size, especially for smaller weird sized photos which would just be out of place on a larger format. This is a pic I took on my trip to Africa last year and I love it!!
Apart from making this tonight I've been watching Strictly Come Dancing which I was really excited about being back on and cleaning the flat (what excitement!!).
I'm off work this week so am planning on hopefully doing a fair bit of scrapping!

Hairy LLama!
.jpg)
I thought I'd upload another of the layouts I've been working on, I finished this at the crop on Saturday. It's a picture of guanaco, which are basically wild llama taken in Patagonia when I was there nearly 4 years ago.
I've used a sarahscards kit for this which had GCD paper in it which is fab and retro looking. I've added a riff-raff corner flourish.
Retro papers seem to be quite the in thing just now and I have to say the new Basic Grey Offbeat is sort of calling to me, although I haven't bought any BG for ages some of the new ones look alright. MMM am supposed to be using up my other stash though!

Lots of layouts!
.jpg)
I've been creating lots of stuff lately, especially since I've been at a couple of crops. At Angela's 12 hour crop in Stonehouse on Saturday I managed to unusually enough for me, actually do quite a few layouts, a mini book and finally finish off the travel mini book I've been doing. I think this is my favourite layout of the day, the dark flower bit is actually a heidi swapp mirror but the way I've scanned it you can't tell!

A beautiful wedding day
I mentioned that on Saturday I was at a wedding, it was a beautiful occasion. Pam looked stunning and her new husband Dave didn't scrub up too badly either! Their daughter, Isabelle, was a beautiful well behaved bridesmaid, the location at House for an Art Lover in Glasgow was stunning and even the weather was pretty reasonable!
Only one thing.... why did Pam have a dress that's difficult to match to scrap the photos!!

I'm still alive
.jpg)
Okay it's been a while since I updated my blog but life hasn't been all rosy of late and I haven't made much crafty stuff lately. My boss is a total horror and has now stopped me going on holiday, I am allowed a week off but not really much more, at the moment I really do hate him. I feel he is just bullying me and I'm been punished for actually doing quite well (it's all a bit of a long story and I can't be bothered going over it all again). It just makes me more determined to find out what I want to do and then get a new job!!
The card I've posted is one I made for my friend Pam who got married on Saturday. The wedding was beautiful and made me cry which is actually quite unusual for me!! I'll post some pictures of it here soon too!

I do update sometimes!!

Okay I've been a bad blogger, but in reality I haven't had much to blog about!!
Angela gave me in to trouble on the phone tonight so thought I'd better at least write something!!
I haven't done much creatively lately, been quite busy with a little of a social life!! Mind you I'm feeling it now with some kind of low grade cold virus thing going on, hopefully it's only going to last a couple of days (and it's got nothing to do with the few beers and 1.30 am night at the work BBQ on FRiday!!).
I'm in the middle of making a Travel Word book just now but given my love of decorating it with everything except the kitchen it will probably take ages to finish!! I've posted one of the layouts I did for the DT though, a fantastic picture of my gran who's great at giving me these full of character faces!!
THe DT stuff was gorgeous October Afternoon which along with Scenic Route are my 2 fav kinds of paper (actually I think part of my love of them is to do with them being double sided!). Anyway I'm off to listen to the radio, am getting very excited by the start of the olympics this week so will be listening constantly to Radio 5 Live.

Some crafty stuff!!

Decided to scan some of my layouts for Shimelle's my Freedom class. These are my, Time, Inspiration and Travel layouts and I'm quite pleased with the way they have turned out. Aspiration would make me up to date with the layout but I'm having some trouble with it!!
I've also been doing more DT stuff (4 layouts for Angela so I hope she likes them!!).
I'm really exhausted tonight as i slept quite poorly last night so I'm off for an early one tonight!!

Time goes by..... not so slowly!!
Can't believe it's been a whole week since I wrote on this blog. Last week off was fab, managed to sort and clean my house out and it's still not too bad (although needing a bit of work!!). Wish I wan't so tired this week though, I've had a real nightmare it terms of insomina yet again. The past 4 nights or so I've slept really badly, hopefully it'll improve though.
Last week I did manage to get a fair bit of crafting done, a few projects for Angela with my gorgeous DT kit she sent and then some more pages in the Africa album. The good thing about this album is that it's a total no brainer in that it doesn't take long to do each double page compared to my other layouts, the bad thing is that it seems never ending!!
I'm posting a layout for today, a real fun one which I did for Angela using chatterbox eclectique papers which are fab funky and so easy to use!! It also has ribbon from Angela's kit and AC thickers, ooh and the small matter of my maddest photo I've ever had taken!!

Tidying up!!
Today's blog prompt for my Shimelle class was if you could go back or forward in time where would you go and what would you do. TBH this is a bit of a tough one for me, don't have any particular yearning to go back in the past (not my past I mean historical past!!) and I don't think there's anything I'd like to do in my past. Maybe the future then, 100 years to see what the world is like, get all the lottery numbers for this year and become a winner!!

Time
My photo for TIME. I absolutely love this watch, I bought it in the states for my birthday a couple of years ago and have worn it pretty much constantly ever since so it really does give me time!!
Starting again!!
This week is great as I am off work all week, just felt I needed some time off as it's a long time till I go to India!! I haven't done much today apart from finish a couple of dlos (very simple)in my Africa album (Which I'm sure I'll be doing for ages!)
I also started a Shimelle class called "My Freedom" today. I'm not entirely sure what it's going to be yet but today was just about taking pictures and sorting out pictures on the subject of Travel and Time!!
